Dr. Jakubowska is an ophthalmologist at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal and a clinical assistant professor at the Université de Montréal. Her practice focuses on conditions affecting the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit, including reconstructive surgery.
Following her residency in ophthalmology at the Université de Montréal, she completed a fellowship in oculoplastics and orbital surgery at the University of British Columbia. A graduate of the combined MD-M.Sc. program at Université Laval, she earned her master’s degree in experimental medicine with a focus on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Her training also includes a research year in cornea and ocular surface diseases at the Precision Cornea Centre in Ottawa, as well as a Master’s in Health Professions Education from the University of Ottawa. She teaches residents and medical students at the Université de Montréal and has authored more than a dozen scientific publications.
She has a particular interest in tear duct obstruction, thyroid eye disease, and periocular cancers.
