Dr. Mainville obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Montreal in 2008. After two years in private practice, she returned to her studies to further her training and completed a residency in ocular health optometry at the University of Montreal’s School of Optometry in 2011.

This additional training allowed her to practice and gain exposure to a wide range of ocular pathologies within a group of ophthalmologists in the Laurentians.

Since 2010, Dr. Mainville has been practicing as part of the multidisciplinary team at the IOL (Institut de l’Œil des Laurentides) and also worked at the IRIS Ophthalmology Clinic’s refractive surgery center in Laval from 2011 to 2016. Wanting to offer more specialized care, she contributed to the organization of IOL’s dry eye clinic.

In addition to her clinical practice, she gives lectures on dry eye disease and participates in multiple research projects (glaucoma, AMD, diabetes, intraocular lenses) within the IOL Group.

Her mission is to provide superior-quality eye care in collaboration with her fellow optometrists and ophthalmologists.
