Ophtalmologist & Specialist in Cataract Surgery
Dr. Krystyna Miszkiewicz completed her medical studies and specialization in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal. She also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the MGH Institute/Harvard in Boston. She has been affiliated with Pierre-Boucher Hospital in Longueuil since 2015, as well as Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal. Dr. Krystyna practices general ophthalmology and treats a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal diseases.
She is also the co-director of the Ophthalmic Surgical Simulation Laboratory at the University of Montreal (LOCUM), a center dedicated to teaching surgical techniques and enhancing the quality, safety, and efficiency of surgical procedures for patients.
She has a particular interest in developing a collaborative care model between optometrists and ophthalmologists for the management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy — a topic on which she based her master’s project.
